Thinking of you at this difficult time - I am just so sorry for you and your family. Be proud of yourself that you knew the time was right for Dylan. I hope his passing was peaceful.
Run free Dylan - there will be so many friends up there waiting for you.

I felt sick reading your op, I remember the dread only too well even though the last goodbye was 5 years ago for me.

Rip Dylan x

On no I am so so sorry. I haven't been able to get on at all this last week and I cannot believe I have missed out on offering you my support.

You have made the most selfless decision any of us can hope to make when the we know the sad time has come.

Massive massive hugs sweetheart I know you must be heartbroken and we are all heartbroken for you.

Run free Dylan, beautiful boy xx

For my lovely friend Claire and gorgeous, beautiful Dylan. xx

IF IT SHOULD BE
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep
Then you must do what must be done
For this last battle can't be won.
You will be sad, I understand
Don't let your grief then stay your hand
For this day, more than all the rest
Your love and friendship stand the test.
We've had so many happy years
What is to come can hold no fears
Would you want me to suffer? So
When the time comes, please let me go.

Take me where my needs they'll tend
Only stay with me until the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
It is a kindness that you do for me
Although my tail its last has waved
From pain and suffering I have been saved
Do not grieve it should be you
Who must decide this thing to do
We've been so close, we two these years
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

My heartfelt condolences to you and your son. This heartbreak is the only downside of sharing our lives with such truly special beings as dogs.

Thank you so much. Every single one of you. I want to reply to you all but I just can't tonight.

Dylan crossed the bridge so peacefully. I was so afraid after seeing my sister pass. We give animals far more dignity to take their suffering away before it gets too bad. Lily was with him and he was snuggled up on his duvet enjoying warm turkey and then he just went to sleep. I couldn't have asked for anymore for my precious boy. xxxxxxxxxx
