The first 4 weeks are the most critical and Rocky must rest totally during this period but I found wit Murphy that he seemed to know this and lets face it Rotties are the biggest sleepy slobs anyhow
so it wasn't too difficult, but after about 6 weeks they do start to get a bit restless so I had to find things to do at home with him so we did bits of training in the garden, and we did a bit of hide and seek, nothing to strenuous for him but more to keep his mind active.The one thing you have to make sure during this time when they are at home and not exercising is not to over feed them as this will put more stress on the bones, if anything I cut down on Murphy's food a bit and he doesn't really have titbits anyhow cause of his sensitive stomach.
Great news that Rocky has come through the op ok
