I googled Geoff Stein and he appears to be an American vet specialising in lizards and other reptiles. Don't know if it's the same guy inkliveeva has spoken to but he's the only one I could find.

So, Sarah 27 asked who Geoff Stein is. I answered. It's up to you to decide for yourself if he's competent to talk about canine nutrition. I made no judgement as I don't know.

Yeah but the point I am making is that he sounds "against" feeding dogs raw....but he is a lizard and reptile "expert" and they are fed raw!

I use tio use Landywoods but the last lot was rank, also they never let me know when they were coming and I'd come home to find a load of defrosting meat on my drive. On one occasion the guy had obviously dropped the box and there were 1lb bags of meat all over the place.

Also the chicken wings started to turn up with yellow plastic tags stapled to them that I then had to remove.......so never ever again

Dogs do not mind slightly "high" meat. We have always found Landywoods very obliging and very good. Some other suppliers have meat which clearly has never been hung, but killed, butchered and frozen with no chance of maturing it to become a bit more tasty.

I agree though it is not good to just dump the boxes on your drive. And I do find their chicken wings very unappetising-looking. No meat on them whatsoever, but the price does reflect this. Their turkey necks are unsurpassed and their various "sausage-shaped" plastic bags of various raw meat are excellent. Tripe particularly so.
