Hi Ian you post reminded me where the sponsorship idea came from. Many may have missed it, the initial idea sprung from a kind and concerned post made by Dogwebber Wolfie a little while ago ...this made some of us stop and think how much time and cost is actually involved in providing Dogweb for all of us to meet and chat, so we bullied admin into doing something about it and at long last they have.

so people can only 'pay' into a personal account only if they already have a personal account? Also would it be against their rules to have two? Im not really much of a paypal user!

PayPal allows members to have one Personal account and one Premier or Business account. However, each PayPal account must contain unique email addresses and financial information. You may upgrade your account at any time.

dunno where you got that from, but not as far as i know
there are no restrictions to paying anyone

I mean to pay into someones personal account do you first have to set up your own paypal account? Or can you pay via a credit card (like u can at the mo, without having to set up an account)? I just thought some people may not want to sign up an account with a 3rd party just to make a donation. Maybe it will just be easier to add another option at £2 or £3 or something? perhaps we can run a poll to see what may suit people? I really would prefer it to be kept 'automatic' and not have to go through the email route and then manually add people to certain user groups to show they've donated tho. If enough people would prefer a smaller option let me know and I'll start a poll
