Extreme weight loss from crash dieting can deplete your body's nutritional stores, which isn't a good way to start a pregnancy. And it's not a good idea to diet while pregnant because you may limit your baby's access to important nutrients.
But if you are hoping to shed a bit of weight, the time to do it is before you conceive. Begin by choosing low-fat, high-fibre foods. Make sure you combine a balanced diet with an exercise programme, and aim to lose 1-2lbs / 0.45-0.91Kg a week, which is a safe rate of weight loss. In other words, don't overdo it.
If you're underweight, get some meat on those bones! While skinny women can and do have healthy babies, studies have shown that underweight mothers tend to have low-birthweight babies.

well if i assume i go back to my 28 day cycle i had before i was on pill then i was due on today but no sign yet

Did a test yesterday (one of those that you can test upto 4 days early) and it was negative so will hang on and wait to see what happens!

I bought some pregnancy tests on ebay (ages ago) - they are the ones the doc uses. just little strips.
