Hi Hali - it does`nt matter - it just needs to show your dogs head nicely so whatever entrants feel shows their dog off the best is the pic to use

Hi Perrypooh, under 6 months old can`t be entered in the currently open Best Head AV class but hopefully you`ll be pleased to hear there is a Puppy Best Head AV class [ and several other puppy classes ], opening very soon for pups up to 6 months of age

Hi ZB, its a fair question but I think in equal fairness to all entrants, show posed classes should only be entered by dogs shown within the requirement of those classes otherwise as you can imagine there would be laying down dogs, sitting dogs, charging across a field, and all manner of other photos, which would defeat the object of the classes requiring a standing pose and would make it nigh on impossible for judges to treat each entrant fairly in that regard when they need to be able to see clean lines etc

In a real show, for instance, people would`nt, [ or should`nt ], take a dog in the ring if they were not comfortably mobile and I would`nt want anyone trying to stand their dog causing discomfort or pain just to enter a standing pose class in this show

Therefore, I have to say no unfortunately

There are however many more classes to come for which a standing pose is`nt a requirement at all so those would be more suitable for any dogs for whom the show posed classes are not ideal for their physical comfort

A wobbly back end which might well show when walking would not be evident in a Still photo if the dog is simply standing comfortably

There would be no restriction on such entries provided the dog is owned by a Dogsey member/direct family as per the rules of the show :smt001

As mentioned, no one should be making their dogs stand for a photo just to enter a class if it causes discomfort or distress to any dog so that is the priority consideration to all entrants whose dogs may be a little infirm at any time and for any class :smt001
