Jess is on royal canin giant baby dog food
1 bag cost £38 and last 3/4 weeks she also has tripe etc which cost another £13 ish a month.

Kai is easy bakers complete bag from wholesaler costs £15 and will last him forever, plus he has some tripe now and again. But he is a bit of a picky eater.

Just seen at my wholesale 18kg bag of dog food, 20% chicken, rice potatoes carrots etc for £13. When jess is a year i will change over.

At the moment it is costing us approx £50 per week to feed 3 dogs (£45 on Natures Menu packets, tripe from PAH and liver/heart/chicken wings from Tesco's, the other £5 is on treats). We have recently moved and haven't got our dog freezer set up yet but feeding completely raw usually costs about £20 per week.

Teagan costs me approx £23 every 1 1/2 - 2 months - for her dry food.
I buy a pack of 6 tins of tesco's own wet food every month, so another few quid there.

Henry costs me about £20+ a month just on his dried food...

BUT i use to buy him tinned wet food...infact i spent an absolute fortune buying him every different brand of wet food i could find to see which one he would eat...he did like some but then the fussy little monkey just stopped eatting tinned food altogether...

but apart from spending the £20+ on his dried food i also spend quite abit of money on fresh liver and chicken a week that i mix in with his dried food...

...he's spoilt rotten with treats too! i spend a fortune every time i pass a pet shop!...i just can't resist!

I'm stunned that some people spend so much, obviously it depends on the Breed and size of the dog.

When we had just our Dobe bitch and our male BC (who is a big dog for the breed) we spent roughly £4-£5 a week. A 15kg of Dr Johns Gold which is the best cheap brand you can buy imho at £7.69 supplemented with a tin of food split between them.

The 15 kilos would last almost 3 weeks.

It can't be a bad regime to feed them on this as our previous Dobe lived to over 15 and the Collie is still fighting fit at 13.

However the two Dobbie boys are still growing and munch through about £14 a week between them, thats frozen dog mince (cheap kennel stuff) and biscuits and muesli feed. They have Dr johns too, but we are still trying to pile the weight on them as they burn off so much with excercise.

We have just filled the freezer with 80 packs of forthglade kennel mince, beef tripe and chicken mince 454 grams packs ( a 1lb in old money) £23 or about 29p a pack. Bargain
