I had an elderly Hungarian Vizsla called Rory, he was a cantankerous old man but I loved him dearly. Anyone not knowing, the Vizsla is the most beautiful shade of reddish gold known as Russetgold.

My latest Vizsla, now called Tally, was called Ginger when she came to me and my daughters Weimaraner was called Misty but is now Jessie. Ginger and Misty - very original.

my first shep was called Ahab after the captain, next came Rommel (German Breeding) then Monty (English breeding)
Duke was already called that, same as Brutus, Vorhanden Storm was called Storm, Alfie already called I use Alfe, Zandi kennel name Asko Alessandro I didnt want to confuse the dogs using two names sounding similiar. Just a few these are the ones just in my name.

Our last staffie was called Spud because when we first got him as a puppy he looked like a big fat potato.

One of our neighbours has a beautiful 18 month old rottie called Dog. Yep, Dog, plain and simple.

It took me and my partner a long time to think of the name for our puppy.

We origionally wanted to name her a traditional Inuit name, but after weeks of going through every word on the internet we decided nothing was right for her.
There were a few names we liked, but several NI owners had already named thier dogs these name and we did want something quite unique.

It was only a week or so to go before we got our puppy when we decided on a name.

Origionally we were going to get a Border Collie, and we had already chose names for if we got a male or female.

I mentioned that maybe we should call our puppy the name we chose for the female Border Collie.

We were not sure but the next time we visited our puppy, we said the name to her and she responded!

She liked the name too!

So thats how Jess got her name.
