Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your fitflops, what a disaster. I hope they're salvageable. My dogs have a thing about shoes, and I go to all sorts of lengths to put them out of their way, but every now and again either I'm careless or they manage to get to them. Bogie the spaniel just likes to carry them around and then take them to his bed, but Pepe the poodle chews them - also collars and leads, including a brand new collar I'd just bought to replace one he'd chewed earlier! I think I mentioned in an earlier post that I wear odd flip flops because he chewed one from each of two pairs - luckily leaving me with a right and left.

It sounds as if you're going through those times we get sometimes when it's just one thing after another. Hopefully it will be followed by everything going right.

Thank you Janet. It's the inside strap he's chewed. It's double new buck with padding in the middle. It's down to the padding on the inside of the strap so they won't last long.

Have you got any shoe repair shops locally? Just wondering if they could do anything to strengthen it. We've got one near here - it does keys and mends shoes - and they're very helpful and very reasonable. For very minor things, they don't even charge, just ask you to put something in the charity tin.

That was quick! Make sure you keep them out of the way of dogs!
I'm still trying to make my mind up whether to go for one of the gorgeous vivid colours or something more suitable to an old woman like me!
Did you get them from Amazon?
