Sort of, yes. The "r" is a cross between a rolling French "r" and a gutterel German one. The only way I can describe it is in the similarity of the "ch" sound in the Scottish "Loch" - think about it, change the sound to "lech", and then add in a slight rolling French "r".

Depending on why I call her, and for what, it is PEH'reg or Peh'REG.

And GHOTI of course is pronounced "FISH".
