The Pets As Therapy Read 2 Dogs scheme is doing really well, I hear.

I have met Fletcher the Rottie P.A.T dog at Crufts this year. He is a wonderful boy.

I would love to do this with Cassie as she LOVES people and is happy to sit and be fussed. The only thing i am worried she would fail on is the noise bit as she it terrified of any lucher killing object . . .

ETA: Read the trainning notes and she might be ok . . May have to give it a go. Raina would fail for the excessive licking thing though!

No need to be worried, if she does not pass, the world will not end and you won't know unless you try!

wot a lovely story and picture

Kismet is too... intense.. to be a therapy dog... she wants to be either in your face or on her own. She's not keen on being manhandled and petted either So now Selkie is gone, I no longer have a PAT dog

I wanted to do PAT assessment with Dita because I think she would be good at it but I am not in a position to be able to guarantee time every week to go on visits being a single mum to a toddler - perhaps when my son starts nursery next year we will apply.

I had to stop when my job changed and I could not commit to the same day. Good luck when you do apply.
