My only fear would be, what would happen to the dogs once they had eaten human flesh, although that would be the only way for them to stay alive, how would the 'authorities' look at it?

I would say Yes to that question
They were PTS the RSPCA said they would not be suitable to rehome due to how they had tried to survive........very sad ending for them

The dog I know that ate someone is now rehomed and very successful in the field he competes in!

O gosh, poor dog - mind you, the "meat" would have been nice and marinated!!

I'd hate to think about my poor Cookie not having his food! I'm sure he hates the thought more. I think he would try wake me, and end up having a nip, then a nibble then just devour me.
If the tables were turned I couldn't do that to him, I'd eat the OH first!

No, in also seriousness, if I was dead first, he probably would. He'll eat anything. And after all, waste not, want not ......so long as I'm dead first
