OMG. Poor thing. I hope he is fully recovered now.

I live in fear of bloat.

Don't they just

I know they do, but it still comes as a shock when you see a dog deteriorate so quickly. it was dehydration with Bandit, he was so weak, he did not have the strength to stand up poor old boy

Sorry Pidge , for hijacking your thread

Glad he is feeling a little better today,

Hope Woody gets better soon. Any ideas at all what caused it? Such a worry but hopefully all will now be ok.

So sorry to read this Em, poor little Woody, I hope he's getting better now. What does the vet think might have caused it?

Just caled the vets as he's hanging his head and drooling, lots.

They want to see him again now to check him over. Oh and his reaction to this jab was normal apparently, it really hurts them, so the vet got it wrong but will ask more once I've seen our vet.

Good luck, hope he feels better soon.

Your vet should be better placed to sort it out.

Pidge you must be so worried (hug) I am a little surprised by the vets reaction to all this, I am not seeking to criticise here but I just know my vet would have insisted on keeping Woody in to be be monitored with those kind of severe symptoms.

Thinking of you both and hoping Woody will be better soon..xx

Bloat is very scary but relieved it wasn't ...

Hopefully he'll start to turn the corner and be back to Woody again..

Sounds like he just needs to rest - you know what its like when we are very poorly...

But know you must be so worried - try not to and just keep a close eye

I would be looking at making sure he keeps his fluid intake up more than worrying about food but guess with the abs he needs something.

Big hug to you and gentle tickles to Woody x
