If he is doing well on natures diet, why change him? I would stick with it if he's keeping it down and managing OK. You could leave him on it for a few weeks to see how he goes. If he starts to be sick and getting diahorrea and losing weight, then maybe you might need to rethink it.
At least you now know, a shame as he is still a young boy.
