Hi DM, Dovedale is near a village called Thorpe, about 5 miles from a town called Ashbourne in Derbyshire. There are huge valley walls to climb on both sides, the river walk is about 8 miles long. It gets very busy with hikers, campers etc. but is worth the trip, there's always loads of doggies to play with.

If you go to www.multimap.co.uk and get directions for Ashbourne, then once you're there, Dovedale or Thorpe will be signposted.
