Thats scarey. You did the right thing letting him in front of you at least you could see where he was.

This happened to me many years ago a young lad followed me and when I turned into my road he said something really obscene I can't tell you what it as it was horrible so I turned round and punched him hard on the chin he stumbled backwards hit his head on the wall and then run off.

You should borrow Ollie he would of sensed your unease and that man would of been backing off. I never worry where I walk with him.

Never think it's your imagination Pidge, that guy meant to scare you even if he didn't assault you.

Gut feeling I believe is right in such a situation. Anyone decent would have kept back or passed with a "Morning" or somesuch comment. Or gone a different way.

Hope you are OK
Thanks Wys, sounds like you had a lucky escape too.

Thanks, we're fine.

I'm glad you said what you did and you were fine. I don't think some men realize how intimitdated they can make a lone female feel - then again, some do

Must admit I have often been glad that it is a Rottie on the end of the lead as opposed to a small breed. Especially so when it is dark. Marius does tend to put people off (poor lad, he'd love a pat!!) - but it does have it's advantages at times. There would certainly be easier targets than me & him lol
It wasn't so much what he said, that could be interpreted in many ways, it was the way after seeing me see him he then got up really close to me! Freaky man!!

Yeah, I bet!

I had a bloke follow me in a deserted area (no dog) i kept turning around and he was close but stopped every time i did! One of the dogs did a poo on the woody undergrowth bit but i left it cos didnt want to stop. Once i got down to the road and felt safer i waited, turned round to look at him and he said to me...
"I was just making sure you picked up your dogs poo, and you missed one!"

I said "I didnt want to bend over with a creep like you behind me!! "

He went very red....what an idiot, didnt realise how scary he was being!
LOL, what an oddball.

My OH gets annoyed with me for walking the dogs at silly hours through the woods in the dark. I never tell strangers Jacub is barking because he is unsure. I let them think he will eat them!

Well done on 1000 Tupac's Got seriously chuffed the other day when I realised I was a 'senior' now

Take good care of yourself Pidge and have a lovely weekend.

Seoniad.
Thanks Seoniad. I'm OK now and wont be letting it stop me. I will think twice about where I walk now though.

Glad you are ok Pidge.
Bloody hell, glad you were OK during all of that.

He was wearing a business suit and a waterproof jacket. Didn't look particularly odd, funnily enough looked alot like Terry Nutkin, same hair style anyway.

I always get unerved on the farm if I see a man without a dog & not jogging (like no man should go for a walk alone!!) I usually fiddle with my mobile & tell Tilly come away as if I didn't she might attack him - even though she's wagging her tail & would prob lick him to death!!
It's horrid isn't it that we live in a world where we have to be so mistrustful.

just shows that we should be on our guard always- if sadie hadnt been there i dont know what i wouldve don...oh and yoda slept through it all in the back behind the dog guard!
Jesus! That's horrific. Poor you xx

They would sense before me to be honest.

Glad your ok, perhaps a stiff drink eh!
Oh, so it's you I have to blame for this horrendous hangover!

Lucky for me people are scared of Stone - most people think he is a wolf!!
It was scary and I was jumpy all afternoon. Neil came home early bless him and we went for a really nice long walk together.

I knew the minute I saw him that he was dodgy so I wanted to make sure he wasn't out of my sight! Yuck, so horrid to think of him.

Woody would have been useless. He would have been wiggling with excitement to see someone that might give him some attention! Silly puppy.

Anyway, all over now. I think it was a lesson to be more cautious which I now will be. Although I'm trying to forget about it now.

Thanks all for your well wishes xx

What a fright for you tho , very glad you made it home safely.
Ditto with Jess.

It amazes me how many people avoid you totally (even to the point of crossing the road to get past) if you have a GSD next to/with you.

I rarely go out walking without Jess as well, so I haven't been on the receiving end. I can imagine how scared you must have been though
