Ash's new daddy is in the middle of a merger or something and wants to give him quality time when he does get him and at the moment that isn't possible, so I am taking him to classes and doing a bit here and there with him, I think it is much easier on the puppy if you start them as soon as possible then you don't get a puppy that is used to doing what it wants to do (my experience with a totally untrained, unsocialised Zillar showed me the damage that can be done) so he will be going to classes and then I will do a bit with Keshi on my own so she is on the same level when we eventually get to classes
Oh Malka don't go with this 'feet first' thing, it makes me feel sad when you talk like that, you need to be on here for a few more decades yet.
Not looked at the hair colour yet, been on the phone and having a coffee and relaxing, but gotta get a move on and go and get more wood. Hardly any there yesterday, so hoping for a bonanza this afternoon. It is so flaming cold the fire needs to be in all time to keep the house warm and the water hot
I am so looking forward to going and having my hair done and being 'normal' at some point in the next year or so

Busy day!
My garage are excellent Helena, and they couldn't apologise enough.
Anyhow got a phonecall from school at 12.30 ish Tom is feeling unwell Apparently numb face and funny vision

Took Luke to the dentist at 2pm popped in the Dr's whlist out and just got a phonecall back Dr wants to see Tom at 3.30pm which means I have to pick him up at 3pm,I have a feeling he will be sent for a scan and think it may be Migraine starting up I sincerely hope not, they are nasty things!

Just having a quick cuppa then I'm off again

Edited to add,
Just got back from Dr's,Tom has had a through check up,blood pressure, eyes checked, ears done etc and just as I thought he suspects some sort of Migraine attack
So he's been prescribed betablockers for 3 months and if he still gets them he will be referred to see a neurologist for a brain scan

It's been a crazy day here today

You will one day soon June I'm sure. I've never looked this bad myself for many a year, but that's been my fault for not making a decision about what to do with my hair colour, along with can't be a*sed to do anything about it I can see I'm gonna get that box out of the cupboard in a minute and slap it on myself. The thought of all those hours in that chair, what a waste of my time. Keep yourself warm June, it's blooming freezing out there now I've had to step up the heating.

Hi Debbie You sound excited!!!! This would be because of your little trip to Blighty I would guess? Don't forget to pack the lappy whatever you do not to mention the camera for when you return with lots of pics for us. Enjoy a lovely day of packing and stocking up for hubby then.xxx

Blimey Sal, poor Tom, I know how Dave suffers with migraines, wouldn't wish that on anybody. Another manic day at yours then, always something to worry about with your family. Hope hubby is now doing ok and has been or is going to the fracture clinic somewhen or other.

OH has gone up to Hatfield to sort out the shower in the student house. We put a new power shower in 3 years ago so have no idea what has gone wrong ..... of course the word abuse does spring to mind.
Hi Jenny Yes, it's fab isn't it, and for Dave to actually say how nice he thought it was when she was on the telly, I thought I just had to enquire, but sadly, it's a no-goer for me unless I want to walk around with half a grey head for 18 months, no fanks! Hope hubby has sorted out that shower easily.

Flaming Specsavers wouldn't allow dogs in so I had to hang around for 45 minutes while Dave got his eyes tested. The bargains they offered aren't really bargains at all because they just want to pile on the extras which usually come as standard at Boots - told him it would be a false economy for, in my opinion, a sub-standard service compared to Boots, but would he listen? Would he heck. The 'not letting dogs in' was the capping point as Boots are happy for one of us to sit in the corner with Rosie on our knee. Needless to say, we will be using Boots in future (which he should have done anyway, the idiot!!!)

So, we're home, wet through, freezing and ready for the cup of coffee that is now sitting in front of us.
You weren't too happy with him then Chris!!!! You know what to do next time then don'tcha! Hope you've thawed out by now and got over the shock of how much he's spent on those new glasses.

I've managed to get what Dave wanted from the new accountant, a projection for this year's accounts, which he's done superbly I have to say, and he's even done a covering letter on his letter heading, so this will mean, whoever is going to give Dave a mortgage will have no fears that this year isn't going to be any worse than previous years, in fact, it's actually looking better than last year which is excellent. Anyway, hopefully, after all my efforts, he's actually done something with all of this paperwork and taken it down to the mortgage broker before the end of day, otherwise, what was the point in me working till late into the night last night and all afternoon on the phone and puter on his behalf! Grrrr.

I will ring him at 7pm as usual and get the latest. If it's still a no goer, then he's going to give up and get the camper and I shall be well happy with that anyway even if it does mean he'll be freezing cold parked up somewhere in the middle of winter to be able to work week-days I'm alright Jack and so is Zena

When I went for wood I had a quick peek in their outside skip where they put all the scrap kitchens they take out, and there were loads of big pieces in it. Emptied the inside skip of offcuts, there wasn't that much. So did what I haven't done for years and raided the outside skip and had a bit of a smashing time, and came away with a sack of big pieces, so we are all nice and cosy here now.
Babies in and had tea and are now having a bone each. Poor Ash keeps having his stolen by Sasha, she is such a norty little girl, small but deadly he kept coming over to me to tell me she had pinched his bone Mum, and I'm scared of her so of course I had to keep getting it back from her, the little Madam had buried it under the vetbed where I couldn't see it
Girls got big pieces of chicken for their tea, will go out with it in a while.

And why not???

I just have a vision of you half in a skip, legs in the air, and huge pieces of kitchen flying out.

There is always something going on here
O/H is at fracture clinnic tomorrow, and he's going too even if I have to drag him there
Tom told the Dr he's been having quite a few of these episodes over the last month but didn't tell me because I had enough to worry about bless him,but he told me he was quite frightened when his vision went funny earlier.
The Dr said they are scary when you first get them,I suffer with them too, they really do bring you down, nasty things, the Dr couldn't give any reason as to what triggering them,it could be a number of things, food, caffine, stress, hormones etc,Tom's currently curled up in bed fast asleep.

Hi LS, we bought it when our eldest son was at Uni for him and his mates to live in. We then rented it out via an agent and for the first 3 years it was excellent. However, the local council there have implemented every possible legal requirement by Landlords and it has just got ridiculous. They seem to be the worse council in the country for implementing them. A lot of them should be at the councils discretion We have had 2 lots of girl students in and to be honest they have been a nightmare and are far worse than the boys or mixed household. Anyway we put it on the market as we've had enough and the next door neighbour is buying it as a 'going concern' with the students in .... good luck to him The only downside is that is was a really good investment and return which we probably won't get anywhere else.

You poor thing, I remember getting those phone calls from school and they didn't even have to say who they were, I'd recognise matron's voice.
I do hope Tom is OK, poor lad.

Skip raiding - I have visions of you leaning in with your legs off the ground lobbing pieces of wood out.
Poor little Ash and what a norty, norty girl Sasha is. I'm shocked, I thought "butter-wouldn't-melt" looking at her little innocent face in today's photo of her. The smaller of my two dogs is a bit of a bully and always takes things away from Rucksack who just looks at me with a sad expression.

Sal - I'm so sorry. You have so much on your plate at the moment. I hope Tom is OK and OH behaves himself and obeys you.

Helena - good luck with Dave getting a mortgage - although it is quite something to have that financial responsibility when you get older. You don't think a camper van would be a better bet? I just wondered if Dave would feel under more pressure having a mortgage.

I'll drop in again later, so until then ......

Commiserations to all of those who have a bad, ill or worrying day. Big big (((hugs))).
Sal what a worrying time with Tom and another busy day for you.

Well its all going on here now.
Gorden has heard about Kazakhstan they want them out for consultancy not teaching this time but the money per hour is less where here you get paid more as it is more specialised.
They would want them out for the 25th Feb so just back from Nigeria then off to Kazakhstan for two months this time.
Now the big but. Firstly he would need to know he would still have his 3 day a week job to come back too.
Secondly the closing dates for two full time jobs he has applied for are about to come up and he would at least hope for an interview and secondly the North Lincs job has just popped up and he has been advised to apply no guarantee's of course but any one of those jobs would be a much better option than where we are now.
The Nigerian job gives us a bit of a buffer. Kazakhstan
money would be useful but we are not in the quite the position we were before plus the actual money is not as much as before and he would be out there longer.

Decisions decisions. But at least more positive ones this time maybe things are slowly on the turn because it isn't a case of taking Kazakhstan because we actually have a small buffer this time and it won't be the end of the world if the decision is no where as before there was no choice.
Plus the RAC (car insurance) have got there act together and lowered the monthly payments after their mistake.

Well I have had my second trip to Dunelm Mill They are very good. The steamer was exchanged no questions asked, didn't even take it out of the box.

I didn't spend any more money, I went to Currys for that and bought a new Laptop
I'm picking it up tomorrow when they have set it up for me and installed the antivirus etc
