Having a dog who is not great with other dogs, but can be relaxed in a same room as them is a credit to the trainer imo.

Lead use is not always "correction" but can be used to motivate

To me a lead should be a extension of your arm/hand, to guide & motivate!
Thanks-that is a good idea-I can bring Cherry along in the car too so if there isn't so many dogs in the class she can have a turn. You know what people are like-they might get fed up and not turn up!

I didn't think about it that way re the dog is relaxed in the same room as other dogs-good point.
