Glad Duke enjoyed a little walk, I am hoping for a miracle for you too Kirsty. I cannot believe how young the dogs are that have been affected by this, 9 months and 4 years old is no age, I'm so sorry Mini and Amanda to hear about yours too.

Is there anything we can all be aware of to maybe avoid this condition, or is it just the luck of the draw Why so young? In humans you would consider this to be an old age thing wouldn't you

Got everything crossed for your dear Duke.xxxx

How heartbreaking for you I am so sorry. I don't have any words of advice as I have never experienced this with my dogs, but just wanted you to know I am thinking of you both.

Duke is in my thoughts.

Nothing to add as I know nothing about renal failure in dogs. Just that we lost my Father at 63 from it, so can only send you love and hugs. xx

Duke completely went off all food so went vets on friday and he had a steroid injection and since then he will eat chicken, fish, rice etc but still wont touch dog food. hes getting very thin but still plays and wants to go on very short walks. He is going back vets on wed unless he stops eating before then.
