Whenever I cook a chicken the dogs do very well. I don't like brown meat, tatty bits, wings (too fiddly!) the bits from underneath that always seem fatty and I am not a leg person. Therefore, they stand around me quivering with anticipation while I painstakingly strip the rough stuff off the bones and they demolish the pile in a few seconds. I would let them have veg but nothing else.
Christmas turkey is no different, except this year I am trying to find a hotel doing the meal, a MAJOR problem in this Country! Mustn't forget the doggie bag. Another unknown concept in Ireland, where farm dogs are thrown stale bread to eat and are not allowed in the house.

Pooooh - oh Kerrie this really made me laugh, so I have to ask, do sprouts have the same effect on your dogs as they do on my OH? If so, what air freshener do you recommend?

well she sleeps under the table when we eat but then loads of scraps and maybe a bit of home made pudding for dessert...that day she gets a long walk and no other food otherwise she would get fat!, happy , but fat!
