As the daughter of an incredibly high functioning alcoholic, I feel a bit for peaches, I think she probably didnt have the support network around her, was never allowed to address the pain from her own mothers death, which I imagine must have had some influence in her own attitude towards her children. People who are parents do a lot of irresponsible things, riding horses is dangerous, driving too fast is dangerous, etc etc etc we know the risks and yet carry on regardless? I imagine it was just such a part of her life by that point.
Bob geldof, while I think e is a prat his statement on her was devastating. Reminded me of fairly recently a racehorse trainers wife killed herself she was 28/29 and her note was to all her friends not to feel bad about it and how nothing they could do would help. Just the utter desperation and irreversability of it comes out.
