Hi Jenny,

I have a few "Stafford" collars with brass and leather but usually I keep them for shows and such like I bought mine from the local pet shop and it has lasted pretty well. One problem I have is that the brass parts have always started to fall off at some point no matter where I have had them from. Personally I prefer (I think I have probably said before) the hurricane collars I can personally vouch for their durability I now have six lol:

www.hurricanekennels.com

Now somebody asked about why their collars are so big, several reasons one I like a collar always to be thicker than 1" my prefered size is 2½" basically because they are better for the dogs neck, mine can at times pull so I dont like them to damage their necks and studies have shown that thinner collars can at times damage dogs necks. I also like the look of the chunkier collars and I find them great for when I am biking.

The other reason is that they are so durable and well worth the money. I know people who have had hurricane collars last longer than their dogs!

Cassy in a couple of her hurricane collars:

In her fancy collar:

Here are a few places I can think of:

www.aecollars.co.uk

Those AE collars are lovely.

Now how can I get my parents to allow me to order a collar from the UK?

I walk indie on a harness, so id jus like a nice staffie collar. I find she pulls too hard on a collar and chokes herself.

Does anyone know where i can get a good padded harness from? They do harnessess in the shops round here, but they arent very padded. Altho i dont know if it matters? Can dogs damage themselves from pulling on a harness?
