I think "aggression" is too loose a term, as there are many forms and causes.

In any form of breeding you need to look to what you are trying to achieve with the pups, for me temperement is everything, when I look for pups to add to the pack I scour the country to try to find parents that are bomb proof, I look for sires that are happy and comfortable mixing and meeting (preferably living with) other entire males and dams that are similarily friendly and comfortable in themselves, then I check all health testing has been carried out and research further back to find out what grandparents temperements were like etc as far back as possible.

Particularly with large powerful dogs temperement is something that is just not worth risking when breeding.

I have never bred personally but these are things I judge when researching litters and lines for a puppy.

To be honest the fact you are raising these concerns probably gives you the answer

Temperament is an inherited characteristic which will be affected by environmental matters such as socialisation and training. Starting off a puppy's life with a healthy list of positive attributes in it's gene pool, makes it easier to produce a well balanced dog. Personally if I was looking for a puppy I would avoid any litters with aggressive parents. I believe health and temperament should be very, very, close to the top of the list of priorities for a breeder.
