If she is to be in bed for more than a day they will be giving her DVT injections and very painful they are too enough to encourage anyone to their feet. Do not worry about the Pneumonia she will not be in bed long enough, you see back in the chair tomorrow I bet.

Thanks for that Pita, it's encouraging at least. She had those injections for 5 weeks in the other hospital, they made her stomach black, she complained of stomach pains, but I managed to get them stopped when she moved into the Care Home even though they wanted to send a district nurse there every night to give them to her! I expect I'll have to go through the same thing over again when she comes back out too!

Yep, another black belly here too, they are horrid but not as horrid as DVT

Yes I know, I already had a discussion about it with the nurse at the other hospital, and I told them to carry on with it rather than her have blood clots, but I really didn't see the point when she'd moved into the care home and was getting about on her zimmer, especially as she's managed quite well without them for 84 years! Lol! That's my take on it anyways.

Thanks Pita, glad you agree with me too. I can't believe they wanted to go to all that expense and send the district nurse out to her. The Care home also agreed with me about them, they also agree with me about that blooming Tramatol or whatever it's called! Between the two of us, me and mum, we always get it sorted! Lol!
