If you click Programs, Accessories, System Tools and look at the bottom of the drop down list you will see System Restore.

What this does is remember your computers setting each time you shut down. So if like you, you have downloaded a program that messes up your computer, you can just restore it back to a point before the download date.

Forgot to add that you can get rid of it if you know your way around the registry.

for a very short time watch these avi's

switch off system restore 32.0 MB
set system restore point 28.0 MB
switch on system restore 18.6 MB

Depending on your download speed will depend how long it will take to download all avi's are 1280 x 1024 so they will fill your screen when played

Ok, well I ran the smitfraud remover (found a tutorial online).
Ran spybot and it was all still there, and then my pc went mental!
The three websites that smitfraud was using kept putting themselves on my desktop.... everything was going crazy.

So I asked my OH, who did his usual eye rolling (which is why I thought I'd ask you lot first lol).

Anyway, he did a system restore back to Thursday.
I've come on here today for the first time and so far so good.
