Well one to all the winners, I'm so pleased that I'm not the only one with dirty dawgs

I know its been said but I would like to reiterate thanks to all concerned, Patch for setting it up, Rachelsetters for her part and, of course, Hali for some splendid judging.

I'm really looking forward to seeing all the contestants for the next show

I agree a before and after would be good

There he is cleaner so you can see what colour he actually is.

Yep, can now see why you were so suprised you didn't get placed.

Unfortunately too late to change the decisions now though. I'm sure there were several others as well where not knowing the true colour of the dog I've under estimated their grubbiness. Hopefully the judges will do better in the other classes!

No effort at all for Harley - it's his normal state.

Now if I had needed to find a picture of a clean Harley that would have been quite a task

Congrats to all the winners and to all the entrants for keeping us so amused in this awful weather and the endless mud, grime, groomnig, mopping and hoovering. This was one class we really didn't mind not winning anything in as it meant we didn't take the grubbiest dog home! Or given this is virtual ...have the grubbiest dog in our house!

Thanks to Patch for a great concept and lovely rosettes; Hali and Rachel too.

One suggestion. In some classes is it worth the judge asking one of 2 questions and handlers have to submit an answer in 25/50 words with photos. This might have establised dog's true colours/state; how long they took to clean up. I can see this beig vital info in classes like best rescue and child's best friend where a photo or look at a dog doesn't say it all. I know at shows we like lipreading the answers to questions in best rescue and the stories that come out are wonderful and influence results.

Good luck to all gun dog owners.

awe such apt winners eewwww grubby or what,,,,well done, dont fancy cleaning any of that lot up, Can I just add, there seems to be a breed tendency for manky-ness, 4 coming from the gun dog section {I think they are anyway} and two tiny little dogs of similar ilk,

makes ya wonder do some breeds just love mud?
