'Dangerously out of control' is defined as being 'on any occasion on which there are grounds for reasonable apprehension that it will injure any person'. Generally, if a dog bites someone then it will be presumed to have been dangerously out of control

Hasnt this person broken the law on 3 seperate things????? Why would the police say this??
Exactly my thoughts when I read that!

So it doesn't sound like it had gone 'missing' then, rather she just let it get out of control. And another dog dies due to stupid owners.

I am glad they were not seriously injured by the dog.

Does anyone else find it strange though that when dog attacks happen it always seems to be in spates? It's like you don't hear of any for a while and then suddenly there seems lots reported at once, weird.

I too am puzzled it was a Staffie or staffie cross, staffies are renowned for there affinity with humans and in particular children, I am very surprised one would attack without provocation:smt017
