Just wanted to add, I like the staffies, but I honestly dont think I'll ever have one.

I would rather have a larger breed.

I used to dislike Rotties.
Where I lived when I was younger, one killed a little girl. Then when I was about 12, I took a nasty bite on my torso by one, so i've always been petrified.

When I moved into my current house, I saw next doors rottie - i nearly poo'd my pants! Never seen one so big! But after getting to know him (He's the softest thing ever), I'm a little better.
Then I took Teagan to obedience classes, run by the Rottweiller association, and met loads, they were all lovely

im personally not keen on jrt's, but only cos every one ive met has been mean

just think Jen there will be plenty of people thinking the same about our breed

Surely you cant *dislike* a breed- I would say there are some breeds unsuitable for me but cant think of a breed I dislike really

Thats the trouble not everyone likes everyone elses breed, but we all respect each others breed choices , which is nice

And we should be able to talk about and discuss it

I wouldn't want a toy breed or anything to jowly such as a neo. I like bull mastiffs and such but thats about as much slobber as I could cope with LOL

Its nice to be able to air the truth (so to speak) about our dog preferences and dogs that we dislike without this topic getting out of hand.

ok i'll rephrase that! lol. There r some breeds i cant picture myself with. Im not saying all jrt's are bad, jus stating its a breed im not keen on.

However, when we went down to the rescue there were dogs we fell in love with that we wud never have pictured ourselves with before!

Once u meet a dog with an amazing personality, the breed doesnt matter.
