Hi Emma,

what about really tastie and easy to make bolognaise....no jars of suce required....

mince
1 onion
1 tin tomato
1 tin pasata ..(use 2 tins tomato if no passata and wee drop water)
Basil to your own taste
Oregano to your own taste
Any other herbs you fancy....
a crushed Garlic (fresh or drier or garlic salt..).You do not have to yse the garlic if you do not like it.

Brown mince and then chuck in onion
Then add all the ingredients and simmer for 30 mins....the longer you simmer it the thicker it gets and mmmmm its fab.....

Sounds lovely Sponge, and a lot quicker than the traditional method of making bolognese

I usually use the jars, more for speed than anything else. When I'm feeling extravagant, I make a traditional bolognese that I was taught to make by an Italian chef

I very rarely make a proper bolognese sauce these days cos Pul isn't a great lover of mince and I love loads of mine in my bolognese sauces

Jac u'll have to add it, I keep running out of ideas on what to do with rice
