Yes that's true I would have company but I would be on the stair below you cos I am not as norty as you

I don't shout or smack.. but I do send my son 4yrs to sit on the step and Think about his behaviour, telling him that when he has thought about it and is ready to apologise he can do so.. if he has been sat for a few minutes I will ask if he is ready to say sorry yet .. To which I get a curt NO stubborn devil reminds me of ...... me...

We don't call it the naughty step I just tell him to go sit on the stairs. I find it really useful for the "Big Naughties" that can't be ignored, and it works!

Sam used to get off but I would calmy return him without saying a word until he got the message...
