aww Jackie so sorry...poor charlie. They steal a place in your heart and leave such a big gap....36 years wow.....they all have their different little manners and ways...
I know its probably difficult for you to deal with Taco right now...they can be so unpredictable these parrots. The amazon that I lost a few years ago was the sweetest cuddliest bird...but at certain times of the year you just had to be so careful with him. The breeding urge just seems to be so extreme in some birds. Funnily enough my two greys don't seem to get as upset.

Anyway Jackie he had 36 good years, was he with you for all of them?

thank you everyone so much

het no we had him 2 years but the guy who used to live here had him 6 years
he came from a old man who had died and the family didn,t want him
he was a gentle bird and he talked so much
he will leave a big gap in our lives
taco is 8 now so sexually mature and we think she either needs a male to mate with or a avairy on her own so this never happens again
but with this bird flu looming we are making arrangements to get all the birds indoors within the next few days
so taco and her mating will have to wait a while longer
