I totally with you on that; better a week before than a day too late. I also agree quality of life is more important to me than anything with my dogs.

My thoughts are with you it is hard but one of those things we take when we give our hearts to a dog to tear.

Just happened so quickly, on Saturday she was in the river splashing about,and I was so happy for her that it was a bit of normal life which has been denied to her for so long because the EA will not shift the debris and she just cannot get over it anymore, more so now she has this horrid disease. Maybe it was because this was about to hit us that I was given the chance for one last time to make her happy and enjoy herself, she had a massive smile on her face and didn't really want to come out. Unusual for her because she is very fussy about getting wet and only paddles on a very hot day, but there she was up to her neck in the water and having fun.
Hoping Neil comes up with something that is long term,but if not then I will let her go
