have had dog holidays in the past ,but with a bigger caravan.
Picking up a Freedom Sunseeker tomorrow.
Only 10ft by 7ft living space. 14ft with hitch.
They claim they can fit in garages.
Obviously depends on the garage.
With a porch awning should do the job.
Mainly looking at a couple of nights, long weekend.
Someone at work has one and been all the way down to Cornwall, 2 of them and a dog.

If your car is big enough he could sleep in the car but you have to make sure you are up with the sunrise in case itt gets hot.

We caravan and have an awning for the dogs in crates

ive camped with just one of mine (before i had the others) and found it relatively easy. i stayed in a tent, daph slept in the sleeping back with me and had a tie out for when i needed to her to stay near the tent. i hardly used it though as she would be with me everywhere or stay if i told her. i couldnt do that with my others. thats for sure.

Im looking at going in the summer for a weekend or two, maybe more when i get my car and pass my test! i dont know whether to carry on taking just one at a time, or be brave and try all 3!

I've agreed a deal with the seller of the teardrop caravans to rent his at easter to see if it is good enough.

It would be mainly weekends and 3/4 day breaks we'd be using it for and would be looking to be outside most of the time anyway so in reality I'm looking for a mobile bed and somewhere to hide from the very real possibility of being rained on!

I'd looked at the freedom sun seeker but it had no chance of fitting in the garage. It has an overall height of over 8 foot. I'm looking at more 6.75/7 foot max height.

Size wise it would be much better though. If we had a little more money I'd go for a newer VW as that could go on the drive without p*ssing the neighbours and wife off!

seen people with the teardrop and either an awning or a bigger stand alone tent as your dayquarters.
Are you having a camping kitchen on the rear.
teardrops are stylish but expensive for what you get.
saw a german make on fleabay for 13k
also a kit on fleabay you can do yourself

That's exactly what I was thinking Murf, car wheel. The same fold up crates in mind.

Yea the teardrop will have a small kitchen in the rear, it comes to £2100 for the self assemble with no interior. £3000 for it built with no interior or £5500 complete. I fancy building it myself but I'm not brilliant with DIY!
