Do hope your puppy's eye is going to be ok and there is some improvement over the days until you can get to the vet. I have used Golden Eye drops before which you can purchase over the counter at a chemist (as recommended by my vet) for a little eye infection one of mine had a while ago and it is brilliant stuff.

Do keep us informed. xx

If you are bathing your puppies eye(s) you should use cool boiled water and use a separate swab for each eye, each time you cleanse. Do not use a warm washcloth - it probably will spread the infection. If it is conjunctivitis, (and I hope it is something uncomplicated like this) it is likely that he will end up getting both eyes infected before it is finished. Salt is ok to add to cool boiled water, but you only need a very weak solution. Please don't put anything like your own antibiotic or human medication into your dog's eye. If the bathing does not clear it up quickly a trip to the vet is essential. As others have said the eyes are very delicate and easily damaged - a puppies eyes should not be messed about with. Seeing a vet a.s.a.p is the only answer really.

So here is what happened. They found a fox tail sticker that somehow rolled up into his eye that caused the infection.

The Good News: Is that there is no permanent damage & the infection has yet to spread...

The Bad News: I still have to wait until Friday to take care of it! My girlfriends sister couldn't afford to pay the $200 dollars its gonna cost to fix the little guy but the vet said he would be okay for another 2 days.

Friday can't get here any faster, I can't wait to get that eye taken care of. Thanks guys, you're all wonderful!
