It is YOUR busines and your business only, and I love your list of rules.

Ever since i have had my dogs I am all for the stay away if you dont like it, and if you come then get on with it!

I've been lucky and actually haven't had any comments like that really, but i understand how annoying it must be! But you shouldn't let them get to you- at the moment i have 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 rabbit, 3 chinchillas and 8 hamsters, which occasionally rises to up to 12, but i am actually letting my numbers drop down again now as i've a larger addition on the way. Previously we've had 5 cats at once, too, but not with all the hamsters etc at the same time.

Just ignore people with anything negative to say if you know you and your animals are happy and healthy!

It can go beyond an annoyance. The RSPCA have prosecuted people like you, good caring animal owners. They have the public - and the courts - conditioned to a warped idea of normal.
Heaven forbid they should ever turn up at your door don't let them in.DON'T make the mistake of thinking that just because your animals are well looked after they and you are safe.
If you must say something tell them to speak to your vet.

The definition of someone with too many animals is simple.
More than you can look after properly is too many.

The busy bodies can be asked two simple questions.

Do they like sex?

Do they like travel?

Either way advise them to f... off

Years ago, before the dogs, I took in unwanted rabbits and guinea pigs and yes the numbers went right up, something like 52 guinea pigs and 14 rabbits... All cleaned out every day, fresh food and hay every day, exercised every day and loved everyday... We got all the comments too... then a so called friend thought I had taken on "too much" and decided to call the RSPCA on me ... I was horrified and distraught, but the officer said he had no idea why I had been reported, yes I had alot, but they were well looked after and had everything they needed and more!!
So don't listen to people like that, they are not worth it at all...

I get that from my mum, although it has stopped a bit recently. We have 10 dogs, 1 pony, 1 cat, 3 turkeys, 11 chickens (plus 5 chicks), 4 ducks and a tankfull of fish! lol

I just let it all wash over me!

Too many have SKY - the animal planet programmes - animal cops detroit etc.

Animal hoarders - aka dog collectors are an American name for some very sad and unwell people.

[QUOTE=JuliePup;2259847LOLZ.....what to do, what to do.......... ~Julie[/QUOTE]

Just smile, nod, agree and carry on as normal. Why give others the power to drive you nuts?

A waste of time and energy.

It works like a charm.........
