We are going to my SIL who has 2 dogs and her neighbour has boarding kennels so they have sleeping arrangements sorted if they do not get on with my SILs 2 spanish hunting dogs, I have done a lot of research and thought long and hard about the risks , but the dogs travel well , we are not making the journey difficult and have booked dog friendly hotels en route, my SIL has spoke to her vet who will cover us while we are there for 3 weeks, its been a lot of work to arrange and a fair expense but I am looking forward to be able to have a holiday with my woofs !
Well seems like you've just about done everything, what dedication and I'm sure it will be an interesting and at times exciting holiday for you all. I love the idea of cabins with dog provisions, so far as I know you don't get that on the shorter routes to Dover & Harwich.

I hope you will tell us about it when you come back and maybe post some pictures.

For the shorter routes personally I would favour the tunnel.

Can't see how the flea collar would do any harm, better to have it than not, they don't cost much do they?

Definately do the tunnel as you stay with the dog and there is a small walk area. As for the rabies jab it does not always work so you will have to pay for it all over again aswell as the blood test.

We have taken our 2 dogs to Spain four times - this year we will be taking three dogs. We drive all the way to Northern Spain - the best ferry is Poole to Cherbourg as it is a fast one taking 2,25 hours - the dogs are left in the car - we have never had a problem in our 5 trips - the internet is easty to find hotels & Villas that accept dogs

Anything you need to know then just ask

Thanks
Ged
