Personally, I don't like going for groups per se, but, if my arm's being twisted, I HAVE to say Pastoral, as it contains my beloved Border Collies!
Nimble, faithful, protective but gentle, intelligent. I rather like gundogs, too, but it's been a long time since I met one with any common sense

working ,, had rotties for about 20 years on and off mostly on !..lol also getting a gsd soon always had gsds as a child my granddad used to train them for the army . so they kind of a family fave

Well I'd have said 'working' but apparently a dalmatian, despite being carriage dogs and firehouse dogs and seeing eyes in America, are 'utility' dogs.

what does that mean exactly?

I don't really have a favourite, apart from, terriers really aren't! lol, not so keen on them to be honest!

I love the look of hounds, but don't think I'd ever have one, and generally prefer bigger dogs than the little ones.

But, hey! why categorise! lol
