A previous Foster dog of mine, Armen, actually DID smile! it's called submissive smiling, and believe it or not, his Mother did it as well as his sibling from a younger litter... we named that litter after comediens! LOL
I tell you, it was scary at first! the vet techs were terrified of him, because everytime he approached you, he did this!
This is so funny! The breeder that I got my youngest of said her dogs were known for doing this 'submissive smiling'. When we were walking around looking at the dogs they all 'smiled' and wagged their tail at you, especially an old lady who was also called Jazz. My Jazz however does not do this haha!

This is a very baby Jazz giving a slight smirk as she walks awkwardly past haha!
