well i never would have thought they would tape their ears? (as in a 'well you learn something new every day' kinda way)

Not all CC's ears get taped, depends on the pup and how weak/strong the ears are. HL should have erect ears according to the breed standard and pups born with weak ears often have them taped to give them a helping hand, some pups will be born with weak ears but in time will learn to hold them up their selves, and sometimes pups with strong ears will drop them when teething - breeders sometimes tape them around this time or advise owners to.

Puffs can have erect or dropped ears some people perfere erect ears (like me) and will tape them if the ears are weak same as with the HL. Although its not a big problem as like I said you can show a puff with dropped or erect ears.

I love Chinese Cresteds, prefer the hairless though, but he is gorgeous, I'd be stupidly excited too! How about an ancient name from when they were originally or maybe something you wouldnt expect one to be called?
