That's true too - I wish I'd taken more of Lola and Marius as pups. At the time I felt like I'd taken lots, but when you look back I so wish I'd taken more.

to not worry so much, dogs are not as breakable as i seem to think, to be more relaxed, to have more fun and enjoy my dogs instead of panicking about "are they ok doing, playing, acting like, with, that?"
to not be so ignorant and snotty about small dogs, so many have such huge characters!!
that you cant save every dog, some have gone through too much(would have saved me alot of heartache realising that sooner).
that rescues lie about, or do not necessarily know everything about the dog you have fallen for, so do not take everything at face value, and to question what "assessed" means.spend as much time with the dog as possible before adopting.

I would tell myself not to bother buying expensive shoes - or more to the point not to leave them lying around.

Poppy on the other hand enjoys these lovely pretty chew toys! The only household things that she has destroyed actually, so I really shouldn't complain.

I wouldn't change her for the world though!!
