She came into my life 12 years ago carried on a strecher by RSPCA officers into the vet where I worked.
She was a cruelty case after being hit by a car then a lorry near the spaghetti junction turn off in Edrington. Her then owner had traced her and instead of bringing her to a vets he had shut her in a shed for two weeks thinking her shattered body would heal itself. Neighbours complained after hearng her screaming and here she was screaming still at each jerk of the stretcher. No-one knew the extent of her injuries but when they manifested themselves her then owner wanted to have her PTS. After taking her on I had to raise £3000.00 for treatment, three broken legs, collarbone, pelvis, nerve damage, internal injuries to her bowels. She was operated on 26th September and began walking in the January.
A miracle........my miracle

Reason for being handed into rescue

" Does not get on with my other dogs"
" My new house is too small "

So I gave her the home she needed----Oh yes! She has four
assorted canine sisters and lives in a tiny bungalow,
Their loss --my gain!

She came to us at 5 years old after I found her in dreadful condition as a stray, but still with a sparkle in her sad eyes. She'd had an e-collar used on her and had obviously been on the streets for some time - she'd had little to no training. 4 years later with a lot of patience, kindness and hard work she has transformed in to a well-behaved, happy dog who is currently working in the Gold Good Citizen class at training. I knew she was special even then. Everyone who meets her loves her - and she loves everyone, too.

This little girl was found at a rescue centre in Ireland with her sister. She was brought to the UK when she was around 10 weeks old. Our home was the fifth home she'd had in her short little life (her original home, the shelter in Ireland, a foster home in the UK, the shelter in the UK and then here) .

She is now 8 months old and has settled in wonderfully well. She loves her older step brother and they run around playing happily together when on walks or in the garden. She's very affectionate to everyone who comes near and she plays wonderfully with the kittens - she loves everyone. She has brought light and laughter to the house, along with frustration (!) but our family would not be the same without her.

I found her in a scrap yard aged just 5 weeks old, being tortured, children were kicking her and swinging her round by her legs. Her tail had been cut off too short with a pair of scissors and the stump was raw, infected and bleeding.
I had to get her out of there or they would have killed her.
Its been a long hard journey together as she bears terrible mental scars, but she has always let us do anything to her and is fabulous with adults who visit the house.
The love she gives us is second to none, its as if everyday she is trying to say thankyou for saving my life.

I got him from greyhound rescue kennels, he is an ex racer who hated it. He has an irrational fear of children and men and when a child tried to stroke him he fell to the floor yelping and wet himself.
With us, he is so loving and everyday shows us how grateful he is to be with us, away from that racing, kennel life and in the comfort of a home getting loved.
He has never put a paw wrong in the house and is just such a pleasure to be around and the most gentle sensitive loving boy you could ever wish to meet.
