Could it be down to breeding or other health issues? have these dogs had brain scans or any other tests done?

Bracca was agressive from 8 weeks old, i have a bitch who curls her lips and shows her teeth when she fussed about by other dogs and he really didnt sem to get these signals, he kept on and on until she snapped and then he fought back, he never ever backed down even at 8 weeks.

Needless to say he is much bigger now, and still does the same, when others growl and curl lips he just dosnt seem to get it and always ends in a fight.
With strange dogs he just goes straight for it, no need to see if they are friendly or not, in puppy class he would be sitting there all quiet and in a split second he would just launch at the next pup and he will and does bite, even 8 week old tiny pups, its all fair game to him.

He has also charged at people growling and barking but im not sure if he would bite people , there is no agression to us at home. charging and growling at people is classed as agressive behaviour even without biting so the same must surley be classed for charging at other dogs????

I have had him assessed buy a trainer who specialises in collies and two different vet practices who have all agreed and witnessed his agression, the vets even suggested he be PTS which i thought was extreme.

A dog that charges and bites other dogs without provocation and charges at people growling would surley be classed as sgressive, the police would certianly think so anyway.

I know he is agrresive through fear and his 'attack before being attacked' mantality is very obvious, just have to work on correcting it hence my recent post asking for a dog owner who woudl be willing to walk with me sometimes.

I also have another agressive dog i rescued at 2yrs, the neighbours tell me he had pinned up people in the gardens on more than one occasion before i came along, his behaviour isnt much better, i just worked out he is so toy obbsessed he wont drop his toy to bite, he will bite people and ive had several incidents, he is also fear agrresive and was battered, i can read him like a book and after 8 years know exactly what triggers him, he is also very responsive so i just say leave it when i think he is about to go and he usually does.

A growl here and there i wouldnt say was agrresive, its how they tell us they arnt happy but my two are certainly agressive, just hope i can win Braccas confidence and trust and change his behaviour.

I think the perceived aggression also has to do sometimes with the dog's size. Boo is quite big at 7 months old, but she still charges about and mouths quite hard when excited.

For someone who didn't know she is only 7 months, she may seem aggressive.

I watched Dog Borstal last night on Blighty I think and there was a chocolate lab called Fudge on there who they said was aggressive but when you looked at his behaviour he was just an over excited out of control puppy!

Tilly (7 months) will show teeth or snap if she's approached when she's sleeping. Is this aggressive?
I'm forever telling the kids to leave her alone - or I will come & rub their heads when they are sleeping to see how they feel
