Teagan was 2 days off 12 weeks when I got her.
Can't remember how old Kingsley was! I didn't even know *what* he was when I saw him (he was a surprise)! I was just so excited! lol

Barney was 15 weeks. He was advertised in the paper and his previous owners were having problems with their 8 month old bitch as she went back to puppy stage and they found it too much to cope with.

When I got Sheba though (no longer with us) she was only 6 weeks old!

Mine all came betwen 6 and 7 weeks but we took Kenny at 5 weeks as he came from a rescue that had too many pups. As we were at home all day and had other dogs they were happy to let us take him early.

If you puppywalk for Guide Dogs for the Blind, you do get the puppy brought to you at that age. I did it 3 times and each time I would take the pup out in my arms or in the car at that young an age. The advantages of the socialisation and habituation gained during those early weeks far outweighed any risks. All 3 passed as Guide Dogs. I stopped there as I started to acquire too many dogs of my own.

I also had Jasper, my departed collie at 6 weeks old and we bonded very closely. The doberman cross you can see in my avatar - Chucky, was 6 weeks old when I got him and he and I are very close too.
