1 dog and no intention of adding another due to money, time and space restraints.

Rosie will very probably be my last dog

She's only young now and age is fast creeping up on me so provided she does as she's told and lives a long, long life, I will be too old to think of another when she eventually leaves us.

She seems very happy to be an only dog so that's the way it will stay both for practical and financial reasons

My two are more than enough for the next few years!!

Really my job isnt all that secure and I live on my own - no way I could manage with more that 2, and I take me old mum on holidays sometimes and hotels are OK with 2 dogs - more than 2 and holidays wouldnt be possible

We always intended to have two dogs, so yes we are semi-actively looking for a second. I say semi-actively because I'm now hoping to get a couple of things sorted out in the garden before adding another dog to the household, although we could cope with putting them off if we have to.

I'm mainly focused on greyhound/lurcher rescues as I think Guinness would probably prefer the company of his own kind. However, we want a cat friendly bitch, and it's proving harder to find one than you might expect. (We don't currently have a cat at the moment, but I cannot imagine not having at least one again in the future).

However, I'm fairly open minded about breed (providing it's one I feel we can meet the needs of) and would definitely consider a bitch who wasn't a sight hound if she seemed the right one in all other respects.

1 cat & 1 dog is about our limit. We won't have another dog whilst Theo is still with us and he's only 6 months old. After that, probably won't have another dog til retirement age. Then I'd love to have a greyhound or a pug or a CKCS all from rescue & not as pups .

I've recently gone down from six to four and that is a much more manageable number so, no more for a while!
