I dont have a bike anymore but that is a good idea, maybe I need to save for one as then I could spend half the time doing the same distance (and live near the cycle path where there is no traffic) in the morning and then still have his walk in the woods after that/later in the day.

look on free cycle and see if anyone is getting rid of bikes in your area, great way to find cheap things
