Wouldnt it be in the best interests of the vet to keep him going all the money they could make. Its very unlike a vet to recommend such a thing. But then I guess we know our dogs best. We were in this situation recently and we let our girl go before she started to get uncomfortable and in pain. Its the hardest decision ever.
It`s a PDSA vet - not a commercial vet. I don`t think he was trying to save them some money however - I think he was just a very very gloomy person - a sort of "not only is my glass half empty but they`ve probably spat in it as well" kinda guy
