I have flown dogs and cats several times across Canada and then from Canada to the UK. Coming back to the UK I sent them on ahead as they had to go in quarantine.

Vari Kennels and Sky kennels are good if you want to buy off the self. It is very important that you get the right size.
Dogs usually travel really well better than us.

Nearer the time when you know your airline check with them their requirements, make sure before you book that they will fly animals as some don't.

Have a look at DAP diffusers they do a spray that you can spray in the kennel before flight and they help a lot. They do collars but collars not usually allowed on flights.
