I might look into those bowls, as Skye (although she doesn't eat really fast) gags alot with food and when drinking. This is something she has done since a pup but is getting more noticable as she gets older....however if I hold the dish up she doesn't do it. I am going to get her checked by the vet, but if nothing shows a change of stance maybe in order when she eats/drinks.

they have raised bowls on the pet planet site,company of animals,ect you can change the height for the size of you dog

no but i would have got it for benji if they were available i first saw them in your dog mag few year ago they save your dog having to bend his head down so low when eating,theres a bit for water and food

someone mentioned them on here once, but to be honest Skye has done this from a very tiny pup. It's a condition worsening to a point of almost getting her head so high that she can just about reach the bowl, so I'm inclined to think it's a swallow problem, as sometimes we have to remove the food from her throat. She is going to the vet so hopefully he will check

you should have took her to
the vet as soon as you noticed any problem with her eatting

Yep, my pup does this too, flings the balls out then continues to eat as though she's starved
