Never in a million years, and if I ever did tie them to a drainpipe, they'd probably bring that in the shop with them!

I do leave them outside my local shop (for 2 mins only!!) in the car with the windows half down though, but hey, who in their right mind would attempt to steal them from a car???! You know that car sticker "the car is unlocked, and the keys are under the dog"!!!!

Never done it as my local paper shop allowed them in while I collected my dog paper. Having 2 slightly more unusual breeds they often attract attention so I would never risk it.
I'm from perth too, though living in Germany at the minute as hubby is in the forces.

I rarely take any of mine to the shops. If i do then its the local one-stop & ill take Amy at night. Im lucky as they all know us in there,if its busy then 1 of them will hold her outside for me or if empty then they let me take her in as they know her well.
The same goes for the local chinese takeaway,i can take the dogs in as can anyone else

I wont take the chance of leaving any of them being tied up.

Not unnattended, no. I see so many outside Asda where the dedicated tether area is completely impossible to see from the moment people step inside, anyone could easily walk off with their dogs.
I feel like making some tags to put on collars saying something like ` in the time this tag took to attach, your dog could have been stolen...`.

Nope I have never left Georgie tied up outside alone anywhere. I would never forgive myself if he got away or someone took him

Not only that.... I think he would pull whatever I tied him to down the road with him

I would never forgive myself if henry got loose...he's only young still and he has no road sense what-so-ever.

I never leave Bailey. I don't think it's safe these days to leave any dog unattended and he would have a breakdown if I left him tied up and went in a shop
