See I knew I was going wrong somewhere with my boys they are far too quiet when out on walks! I will endeavour to get them to behave more appropriately for there size

Dogs are my pets, they are not part of my family.

I dont have a problem with dogs being kept outdoors.

I dont think dogs should be allowed in all public places (shops, places people dine, including pubs etc)

I do not agree with positive only methods for all dogs.

I think dogs on furniture, particularly beds, is disgusting.

I have many, many unpopular opinions but thats because I dont view dogs in the same way as most other dog lovers. Not even sure i'd call myself a dog lover, perhaps a dog enthusiast...

Rescue dogs are not dangerous due to their past.

Rescue dogs make the best family pets, they have more love to give.

Dogs ARE part of the family, and should be considered with every decision made day to day.

Dogs, unless brought up for purely working, should be part of the home, ie not locked in the backyard all day and night - get a guinie pig.

Dogs deserve to be fed a decent diet, e.g a high percentage meat or what suits them best, ie: a sensitive diet. If you can't afford to, then you shouldn't own a dog.

Dogs should enjoy a variey of life i.e not the same walls and walks EVERY day of their life.

I'm getting a bit confused. I thought this thread was about unpopular opinions and yet I see opinions which the masses hold...

True.....but Akita crosses are nuts! kidding

Re: the dangerous rescue dog sweeping statement. So I suppose all dogs who go into rescue have had bad pasts? So no dog that has been loved and socialised has ever gone into rescue because of a marriage breakdown, a forced relocation, a child's allergy, owner illness etc? Or if they have, have these dogs automatically then become dangerous because they simply went into rescue? Hmmmm....talk about tarring everyone with the same brush!

My rescue dog is far from dangerous, she's as gentle as a lamb and would never contemplate even growling at somebody. Well, she might but I cant think what would make her do it.

Exactly. And even rescue dogs with bad pasts aren't always dangerous. My Moon was starved, beaten and kept on a chain for 5 years yet he was soft as butter.

Of course some rescue dogs have behavioural issues and sone have bad pasts. Equally there are tons of dogs raised by their owners from puppies who are downright dangerous and have never been near a rescue in their lives. Statements like "rescue dogs are dangerous because of their past" are unbelievably simplistic

I thought this thread was just unpopular opinions not to debate those opinions or point out you don't agree with them ?
